Affordable Energy Australia is a campaign of the Coalition for Conservation (ABN 82 201 923 025). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that organisation.
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. Depending on how you engage with the site, this may include your name, email address, postcode, phone number, and any story or comment you submit when signing the petition. If you make a donation, your payment is processed by our payment provider — we do not collect or store your card details on this site.
How we use it
We use your information to record your support, keep you updated on the campaign by email and SMS, demonstrate the scale of public support to elected representatives, and process donations. We may publish supporter stories to show why this issue matters, anonymously or with only a first name and general location, and never in a way that identifies you without your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the campaign — such as our email, SMS and payment providers — and only so they can perform those services for us. We may disclose information where required by law.
Storing and securing your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we retain it only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Accessing, correcting or removing your information
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from our updates at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us. You can also ask us not to contact you again.
